Recently at the Outdoor News America writers event in Dallas, TX, we were introduced a new style of non-lethal training from Unit Solutions, called the Unit4 Civilian Starter Kit. For a long time, Unit Solutions has been selling their unique line of training to law enforcement and military units around the globe. New for 2021, they are launching their new Civilian Starter Kit package to allow the general public to train, without the risk of bodily injury.
Let’s dive in, and look at the system!
The primary weapon unit is built specifically for the system. The Unit4 Civilian Starter Kit is basically an M4 rifle, but the ATF does not classify it as a firearm, so you can physically transport this device anywhere, and you can have these units shipped directly to your home. The rifle operates off a special CO2 cartridge platform/magazine called a TPak, that also contains 30 rounds of either marking, or non-marking pellets. These TPaks simply insert into the Unit 4 Magazine, and you are ready to train.
What’s so unique about the platform is you can train in either semi or full auto modes, and the rifle mimics the action of an actual AR-15.
